The Web has revolutionized the way the world communicates. InfoView harnesses the power of this medium by creating a full screen presentation window with web browser display capability. The administrator controls the location, sequence and duration of these web panels through a remote access interface. With InfoView, any PC instantly becomes a virtual billboard.
You can use it in:
- Trade Shows.
- Hotel Lobbies.
- Movie Theater Previews.
Why wait until the movie starts to see the previews? With InfoView, the theater lobby can deliver movie trailers to customers while they wait. Movie studios would jump at the opportunity to showcase their upcoming products to their best customers - the movie-going public. InfoView can replace the entire section of color brochures in any hotel lobby. By rotating advertising panels, the hotel can generate revenue from these vendors while saving space in the hotel! Using the latest Plasma Flat Screen Television Technology, InfoView can present products demos, company information and vendor advertisements in a way that few other medias can match.
Features:
- Ease of Operation.
- Advanched Cache Management.
- Browser-centric architecture.
- Advanced Web-based advertising.
InfoView will provide the daisy-chain presentation facility based on HTML pages placed locally or anywhere on the Web. System administrators will be able to define the Daisy Chain URL file with the URL page to display and the presentation duration. While on idle, the system will display the URLs found in the configuration file for the specified period of time. In case of URL unavailability, the system will use a Failover page and finally a Problem page that will be used as an ultimate recovery tool. System administrators will be able to log every URL displayed successfully and obtain a business measurement tool for applying accurate advertisement fees. This Web-based approach and the interface customization features will eliminate any additional modules for content management and delivery. InfoView will introduce this new paradigm based on an integration around the browser eliminating any proprietary conventions. Conventional presentation software will provide different modules like: Database, Access control, Reporting Advertising, Peripheral integration, Security, Secure Browser, Internet access, Monitoring, Content distribution and management. This legacy architecture presents several points of failure:Multiple proprietary modules running over the OS, Interaction between modules will multiply potential problems, Higher hardware/software resources, Proprietary integration conventions, Need for additional monitoring modules. Consequence on business is evident: High downtime, Maintenance costs, Low integration with the operating system, Low adaptability to new business needs. The browser-centric paradigm will provide a serie of advantages: Complete MS IE integration making the software part of the browser, The browser is the unique interface for both the administrator and the end-user, All authentications will go through the web-based PayKiosk server that will handle an unlimited number of terminals, Service Manager-ready software for accepting immediately customers with own devices, The terminal will only run the browser software and no additional modules. This new architecture will provide what kiosk operators require: Reliability, Availability, Security, Integration. Reliable Web based presentation tools will depend on the system caching capabilities. InfoView's caching mechanism will pre-process HTML pages before displaying them. This advanced feature will ensure smooth presentations for both internal or external pages. In large environments, a local Web server will serve multiple Infoview terminals.
