State Of Arizona Awards Vector Resources Contract To Offer Network Services To State, County and Local Governments

2012-07-19

TORRANCE, Calif. ---- State, county and local government agencies have a new resource to meet network services and equipment needs: Vector Resources, Inc. Vector, a leading systems integrator offering network consulting services and unified network solutions, announced today that the State of Arizona has awarded the company a contract to be a preferred provider to state, county and local governments. Vector was one of 15 providers selected, from a total of 38 that applied.

As Vector’s first statewide contract, this is an important win to increase our presence in the state of Arizona,” said Jeff Peterson, General Manager of Vector’s Phoenix office. “As a result, state, county and local government IT teams can turn to us for support without undertaking a lengthy, competitive review process.”

While the contract does not guarantee Vector new projects from Arizona government agencies, it is an important procurement vehicle for the company. Prior to this contract process, the State had multiple contracts for multiple networking products.

State Contract Follows Other New Contracts

In June, Arizona’s Pima County awarded Vector Resources a Job Order Contract (JOC). Vector was one of just five integrators that completed the lengthy and detailed qualification process. This contract allows Pima County departments to engage with Vector to work on specific technology-related projects without undertaking a broader competitive review.

Last August, the Mohave Educational Services Cooperative (MESC) named Vector as a preferred provider for MESC member organizations, which include Arizona schools and government agencies, as well as qualifying non-profit educational and healthcare institutions. Vector was among a handful to receive a contract among 26 service provider that applied. The contract enables MESC organizations to organize RFIs and RFPs that include qualified providers with the knowledge that the companies have already passed a detailed review process.

“Vector’s new contracts and status among government agencies in Arizona reflects our expertise in efficiently and cost effectively serving the needs of these departments,” added Robert Messinger. “Government contract teams that are safeguarding taxpayer dollars hold their service providers to very high standards, exactly the type of environment where Vector’s expertise shines and highly-experienced teams thrive.”
