Nlyte Software Strengthens Management Team; Appoints Industry Veteran Mark Harris To New Position Of Vice President Of Data Center Strategy

MENLO PARK, Calif. ---- Nlyte Software, an industry leader in data center infrastructure management (DCIM), today announced the appointment of industry veteran Mark Harris, to the newly created position of vice president of Data Center Strategy. Mr. Harris is well known and respected throughout the DCIM industry from his previous roles at Raritan, Avocent, and Cyclades.

A well known DCIM industry visionary and thought leader, Mr. Harris brings to Nlyte Software over thirty years experience in product and channel marketing, sales, and corporate strategy. As vice president of Data Center Strategy, he will be responsible for assuring that the Nlyte product offerings continue to closely align with evolving industry trends and maturing customer requirements pertaining to the strategic business value of DCIM. In addition, as a customer advocate, he will play a key role in listening to customers to identify their requirements regarding the streamlining of their data center business operations to improve overall operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Mr. Harris joins Nlyte Software from Server Technology Inc., a data center power equipment manufacturer, where he was vice president of Marketing. There he was responsible for all aspects of creating the company’s core messaging and leading his team to present those messages across a wide set of target markets. Previously, he directed all sales and marketing efforts for DCIM software at Raritan Inc. Mr. Harris also spent a total of seven years combined at Avocent and Cyclades (now part of Emerson) as the vice president of Marketing Strategy of Data Center Management where he was instrumental in sponsoring and creating their initial DCIM offerings.

A published author, Mr. Harris contributes to such publications as Data Center Post, Data Center Knowledge and Datacenter Dynamics. He’s also written for Mission Critical Magazine, DCD Focus and Processor.com. In addition, he writes his own weekly blog, DCIMExpert.com, a frank and vendor-neutral discussion about the industry.
