Insyde® Software Announces InsydeH2O® and Optimized Android™ Distribution For New Intel® Atom® Based Tablets

SAN FRANCISCO ---- Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and Android system-level software, today announced the availability of InsydeH2O UEFI BIOS and a Software Platform for Android in support of the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3000 Series processor (formerly codenamed “Bay Trail-T”) announced earlier today.
Leveraging 22nm processor technology and optimized for Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Google Android 4.2, these new Intel SoC-based platforms will power a new wave of innovative multi-use mobile platforms. Insyde Software’s customers will begin shipping tablets, convertible and 2-in-1 “detachable” devices based on Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3000 Series for the upcoming holiday retail season.
Insyde’s Software Platform for Android includes an array of products and features both for the OEM’s and their customers, including Humanos® (Insyde’s optimized version of Android), Secure Boot, Multiple Open Windows, unique Android apps, customization services, Google certification testing preparation services, and an Android App Market that can be private labeled to meet specific OEM requirements.
